EXPERIENCED ARCHITECT – ST ANDREWS, FIFE
Muir Walker Pride Architects are seeking a good natured, genial architect to join our friendly team and help shape the future of our studio.
The role offers the opportunity to grow, enjoy an amazing variety of one-off designs, city centre studio, hybrid work model, private pension contributions, and opportunity for career progression within the practice.
Key requirements
- Part 3 qualified with a minimum of five years’ experience in architectural practice
- Proven track record in running projects from inception to completion
- Strong design skills with excellent technical and detailing ability
- Proficiency in 3D design software such as ArchiCAD
- On-site experience handling contractual matters
- Sound knowledge of Scottish construction techniques
- An ability to lead a project team
Personal attributes
- Confidence in meeting and communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Self-motivated, proactive, and organised
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive both as part of a team and working independently
- Experience working with listed buildings and in conservation would be an advantage.
Salary is commensurate with experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.15pm; hybrid working offered
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Team MWP
SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST – ST ANDREWS, FIFE
Muir Walker Pride are a design-led practice based in the historic centre of St Andrews, Fife. You are a friendly, enthusiastic individual who shares our passion for high-quality design and detailing, and who is eager to contribute to the future direction of the practice.
The role offers the opportunity to work on projects of varying scale, from inception through to completion. You will manage project delivery and liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors. Site visits and meetings will also form an important part of your work.
Key requirements
- Proven track record in running projects from inception to completion
- Minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience producing technical drawing
packages, specifications, and schedules - Experience preparing Scottish Building Warrant packages and supporting contractors in
delivering projects on site through to completion - Strong understanding of Scottish construction practices
- On-site experience with the ability to manage contractual matters
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling software

- Confident in client and contractor communication
- Self-motivated, proactive, and organised
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Salary commensurate with experience
Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 5.15pm – hybrid working is offered
